Presentation:

Italy's Native Wine Grape Terroirs is the definitive book on the myriad of vintages and production areas of Italy's great wines. Ian D'Agata's scientific and discursive approach to wine provides an easy-to-read and enjoyable guide to Italy's best terroirs. Descriptions are enriched with geological data, information on biotypes and clones, anecdotes and interviews with producers, and facts and figures compiled from fifteen years of research on wine terroirs. An in-depth analysis is provided for the terroirs that produce the most famous wines (Barolo, Chianti Classico, Brunello di Montalcino) and those that are less well known (Grignolino d'Asti, Friuli Colli Orientali Picolit, Ischia).

Everyday wine lovers, beginners and professionals alike will find this new book the perfect complement to D'Agata's previous award-winning Native Wine Grapes of Italy.
