Presentation:

Every year, two hundred million bottles carry Burgundy wine around the world. Just a drop of good wine in the ocean of vine products, but which expresses the soul and spirit of this exceptional vineyard that appeared twenty centuries ago. This work, of which this is the second edition, draws the portrait of the Burgundian vineyard in all its aspects: historical, cultural, vitivinicultural, oenological, economic and social. Based on detailed cartography and rich iconography, it recounts each climate of the vineyard, from Chablis in the north to Mâcon in the south, from the regional Burgundy appellation to the prestigious grands crus. It also opens up broad perspectives on the vine and the wine to come in the 21st century, questioning the organic phenomenon, globalization, the major questions faced by wine. Written in a language full of life and warmth, clear and concise, it is the book that all oenophile must have.
