Presentation:

After the first guide on Guyot pruning, here is the second volume on permanent cordon pruning. With the same clarity, accompanied by more than 400 explanatory illustrations, this guide addresses all the aspects that the experienced pruner, whether professional or not, must respect in order to obtain the maximum balance and longevity of the vine plant.
This is only possible if pruning is considered a work of excellence. In the first part of the guide, the innovative features of the Simonit&Sirch method are highlighted and compared with traditional pruning practices. The chapters in the second part are dedicated to the application of the method during the various seasons and according to the age of the vine: from the formation of the stock from the barb, to the development of branching on fifteen-year-old plants, passing through the formation of the cordon (double or single) and proposing vertical or oblique branching management.

The author:

Marco Simonit has cultivated a passion for grapevines since he was young. This 53 year old Italian agronomist offers an excellent example of what an individual can achieve in viticulture, if you think intelligently and obsessively. He leads a team of master pruners who apply his method in the world's greatest wineries. He founded the Italian School of Vine Pruning.

This book is a practical synthesis of all the necessary knowledge, in a language adapted to all practitioners
