Presentation:

The future of wine, in French and European vineyards, can only be inscribed in a passion for the terroir, far from the multiple temptations of its industrialization. It is in this context that Loïc Pasquet, a winemaker from Poitou, settled in 2006 in the Graves region, with a mission: to rediscover the taste of Bordeaux wines before the dramatic episode of phylloxera. Jacky Rigaux and Jean Rosen tell us about his adventure in this book. This winegrower decided to resist industrialization and the standardization of taste, and, by planting extinct grape varieties, doing without rootstocks, and cultivating his vines in permaculture, manages to recover "the taste of the place."

The authors:

Jacky Rigaux, an environmental activist, columnist for numerous wine magazines and expert in geosensory wine tasting, is the author of some twenty books on wine and terroirs.

Jean Rosen, PhD in art history, is vice-president of the association Rencontres des cépages modestes.
