This book aims to introduce readers to the fascinating world of viruses, bacteria, and phytoplasmas that coexist with vines in more or less destructive ways.

These pathogens, practically invisible and for some bordering on life, are the cause of serious problems for the vine to the point of sometimes threatening its existence. They are insidious, do not systematically cause visible symptoms, are transmitted by vectors and above all cannot be combated by direct control methods. This reference work presents the methods for detecting these organisms and provides the basis for their identification.
