Presentation:

Sentir is a journey that touches all our senses, and Ryoko Sekiguchi's first adventure into liquid territory: Champagne wine.

It all begins with her meeting Hervé Deschamps, the seventh cellar master of the Perrier-Jouët House since 1811, who reveals to her his passions, his demands for perception and his dreams, which allow him year after year to assemble wines like a chef matches ingredients for a dish.
Chef Pierre Gagnaire's keen and sensitive eye joins the conversation, bringing forth tastes and sensations from the living and the present. The book is punctuated by the precious complicity of the botanist, Marc Jeanson, who associates our sensations with plants and tells us about them.

Sentir is a journey, a crossing of our gustatory mental landscape, from the garden to the plate through the vineyard.

Available in french or english version.
