Presentation:

The Odyssey of Greek Wines is a Homeric journey into the world of Greek wines, ancient and contemporary. Mythology, symbolism and rituals of ancient wine are evoked and followed by a Dionysian stroll through its eventful history, through the Neolithic, Minoan, Mycenaean, archaic, classical, Hellenistic, Byzantine periods, under Ottoman occupation, during and after the revolution from 1821 to the present day.

The epic continues with a tour of ancient winegrowers and their customers: production, conservation, transport, consumption of wine, prohibitions and rules are revealed. This journey then leads to the modern revival of Greek wine with the meeting of around fifty winegrowers engaged in organic viticulture, their history, their myths and their favorite vintages. And to end this trip to the land of Hellenic wine? A banquet, of course, where French food/Greek wine pairings are presented!
