The author:

After university studies in the United States and a career in finance, Nicolas Joly took over the La Coulée de Serrant estate, acquired by his parents in the 1960s, in 1976. He quickly realized that this exceptional territory was being deteriorated by modern agriculture using pesticides, herbicides and fertilizers. He discovered biodynamic agriculture in 1980 and converted his entire vineyard in 1984. A tireless pilgrim, he travels the world giving many conferences on this method of viticulture. After having met with much skepticism, his influence became considerable in the wine world. He founded the association Soin de la Terre and is at the origin of a quality charter "For a full expression of the AOC" for the Association Renaissance Appellations, which regroups more than 220 domains in the world.
