Presentation:
Between winegrowers, we understand each other! Alain Graillot, the Crozes-Hermitage reference, has collected the confidences of wine professionals considered stars around the world. Their discussions make us understand that their success is the fruit of a trajectory paved with joy, but also with difficulties.
Because he is faced with a durable and vulnerable plant, as well as climatic hazards, a winemaker differs from most of his contemporaries.
Unlike that of start-ups, its world is built day after day, slowly and patiently. He takes the steps that come his way thanks to his stubbornness alone. This is how, sometimes, he becomes a superhero.
Alain Graillot, himself a famous winemaker from the Rhône valley, offers us the chance to enter into the intimacy of around twenty great names in wine. Raymond Trollat, Jean-Louis Grippat, Auguste Clape in the Rhône, but also Michel Lafarge and Aubert de Villaine in Burgundy, Anselme Selosse in Champagne, Jean-Michel Cazes in Pauillac, or even Angelo Gaja in Italy and Alvaro Palacios in Spain... could only give themselves up to one of their fellow men.
By “hearing” these humble personalities, full of determination and character, we can read the evolution of a profession which, subject to the pressure of a world where urgency prevails, can seem anachronistic. This is without counting on this tribe of stubborn people who fight tirelessly for their freedom and respect for time.
