Presentation:
From the islands of the Aegean Sea to the Balearic Islands, via Corsica, Sardinia or Sicily, stop off at more than 80 island wineries, fraternize with the winegrowers, and finally taste their unique wines made with grapes whose names lend themselves to dreams: assyrtico, mantonegro, sciacarellu, nerello mascalese, thrapsathiri... Both a practical work and a story of encounters, this guide offers you a great journey, from one shore of the Mediterranean to the other, discovering what constitutes the identity and beauty of mare nostrum wines.
The author:
Philippe Rapiteau began writing about wine in 1991 via a craft publication, La Pipette, intended to evoke the daily lives of producers from all regions. At the beginning of 2000, it became the blog La Pipette aux quatre vins. In 2013 and 2015, he was among the co-authors of Tronches de vin (ed. de l'Epure). At the end of 2015, he opened a cellar in La Roche-sur-Yon, where he lives, dedicated to natural wines and travel. Since 2020, he has joined the editorial staff of the specialized magazine Le Rouge et le Blanc.
