Presentation :

On the evening of his 50th birthday, Benjamin Cooker, famous oenologist, receives a call from one of his childhood friends. Denis Massepain, owner of the prestigious Moniales Haut-Brion estate, is facing a serious crisis: four of his barrels have been contaminated by brettanomyces, undesirable bacteria, at a very advanced stage! Cooker focuses on the Virgil affair, a young and brilliant researcher called to become his future assistant. Together, they draw the same conclusions: Château Haut-Brion would in fact be the victim of a criminal act...

The Author:

Born in 1964 in Marseille, Corbeyran lives and works in Bordeaux. After having dabbled in photography, children's stories and advertising, he definitively turned towards comic book scripts, an activity he has been practicing since 1990, with around forty albums published to date (notably by Dargaud, Delcourt and Casterman). Curious about everything, fond of images and anecdotes, Corbeyran is interested in the most varied subjects and tackles many genres: fantasy, historical, thriller, adventure, detective... Comfortable in rather muscular registers, In 93, Dargaud offered him the opportunity to publish stories imbued with tenderness and poetry such as Graindazur or L'Ace de Pique. From his regular collaborations with Berlion, Falque and Guérineau, we will remember some titles of general public series which are today part of the comics landscape: Le Cadet des Soupetard, Sales Mioches!, Le Fond du Monde and Le Chant des Stryges . 1999, release of a new album in the Long Courrier collection: Lie-de-vin by Dargaud which is nominated for the Alph'Art for best album of the year in Angoulême 2000.
