Presentation :

You don't become a legendary wine by chance...

In 2005, Loïc Pasquet and his wife Alona, great wine lovers, settled in Landiras. The following year, they produced their first vintage. Here, horses replace tractors, planting densities are pushed to the extreme, everything is done to restore to the wine the taste and authenticity of fine Bordeaux wines as it was at the time of the Official Classification of 1855, before the phylloxera epidemic. And the least we can say is that it works! Fruit of a true success story , the “Liber Pater” (named after the Roman god of wine, sorry) has become in the space of a few years a wine recognized throughout the world, the price of whose bottles sometimes soars ...at several thousand euros!

Corbeyran and Horne paint the portrait of a wine like no other and of its creator, trained late and above all passionate. A graphic novel placed under the sign of oenology, sincere and captivating, in the tradition of Ignorant by Étienne Davodeau.

The Author:

Born in 1964 in Marseille, Corbeyran lives and works in Bordeaux. After having dabbled in photography, children's stories and advertising, he definitively turned towards comic book scripts, an activity he has been practicing since 1990, with around forty albums published to date (notably by Dargaud, Delcourt and Casterman). Curious about everything, fond of images and anecdotes, Corbeyran is interested in the most varied subjects and tackles many genres: fantasy, historical, thriller, adventure, detective... Comfortable in rather muscular registers, In 93, Dargaud offered him the opportunity to publish stories imbued with tenderness and poetry such as Graindazur or L'Ace de Pique. From his regular collaborations with Berlion, Falque and Guérineau, we will remember some titles of general public series which are today part of the comics landscape: Le Cadet des Soupetard, Sales Mioches!, Le Fond du Monde and Le Chant des Stryges . 1999, release of a new album in the Long Courrier collection: Lie-de-vin at Dargaud which is nominated for the Alph'Art for best album of the year in Angoulême 2000.
