Summary:
"On the Road in Piemonte" is an immersive and accessible exploration of the wines and gastronomy of Italian Piedmont.
Through enriching conversations and vivid stories, this book reveals the extraordinary gastronomic richness of the region, introducing you to winemakers, farmers, chefs, and artisans from all over Piedmont.
Learning about wine comes naturally, exploring the remarkable diversity of the regional offering in the spirit of a travelogue rather than an encyclopedia. By journeying through its landscapes, villages, and traditions, you will better understand the forces that shape Piedmont's identity, while becoming familiar with almost all the grape varieties grown here and their original terroirs.
With over 85 recipes proposed by Piedmontese chefs and amateur cooks, the book also celebrates the region's typical ingredients and recounts unforgettable meals that capture its essence. Throughout this journey, you will develop a deep appreciation for Piedmont's culinary heritage, as well as a nuanced understanding of how it evolves from one region to another.

Jeff Bramwell was born and raised in New York City and now lives in Raleigh, North Carolina. He has spent more than two decades in the wine trade, beginning his career in retail in Atlanta in 2004 before moving to Raleigh in 2006. After thirteen years in traditional retail and wholesale roles, Jeff combined his passions for wine and photography, continuing to work with wine clients in California, Washington State, and Piedmont, Italy.
His work has been published in numerous publications, including Wine & Spirits Magazine, Decanter, Falstaff, Vogue Italia, and Assouline's The Impossible Collection of Wine.
