Presentation :
No wine-producing country - not even great France - can rival Italy when it comes to the sheer diversity of wine styles, grape varieties and geography. Wine is so closely linked to the life and land of Italy that it is generally considered a huge vineyard. Moreover, the Ancient Greeks called their Italian colonies Oenotria, the land of wine.
When the first edition of this map was published in 2011, it was the first comprehensive modern map of Italy's wine regions. It has been continually updated since.
Includes: all regions DOC (Denominazione di Origine Controllata), DOCG (Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita) and PGI (Protected Geographical Indication); detailed maps of Piedmont DOCs, Piedmont DOCGs and Chianti sub-regions.
