Presentation:

With A Tribute to Life, the iconic Domaine Leflaive seeks to share its connection with the environment and the legacy of this century-old estate, in the heart of Burgundy, where emotion is cultivated just as much as the vines.
Far removed from the usual works on oenology, this book reveals the intimate fabric of an alchemy between the Leflaive family’s heritage, the biodiversity that shapes the landscapes, and the discreet actions of those who work within the estate. The silent world of plants, the true ruler of the land, is brought to life through the lens of photographer Jérôme Byron. As the pages unfold, a subtle balance is woven between tradition and care for living things, where every detail, from the soil to the seasons, and from the vine to the gesture, contributes to a single harmony.
To honour these cultivated lands, and because it is conceived as a sensory experience, the book offers a unique food-and-wine pairing. Inspired by the plants surrounding the plots and guided by the expertise of forager and herbalist Thierry Thevenin, Michelin-starred chef Hugo Bourny has created eight original dishes that celebrate the finesse and simplicity of the estate’s flavours.
